Introduction:            

In order to expand the criminal defense business, Zhejiang Taihang Law Firm established a criminal defense team in 2013. Team members are mainly composed of 13 senior lawyers, such as lawyer Zhang Huijia, lawyer Xiao Yonghong, lawyer Xu Mingliang and lawyer Zhou Shiming. Among them, Mr. Xu Mingliang is the founding partner of Taihang Institute, who has been engaged in criminal defense for more than 20 years. He is now a member of the Chinese Legal Logic Professional Committee and a standing director of Zhejiang Jurisprudence and Law History Research Association. His editor-in-chief publishes The Logic Art of Trial Cases, which has great influence. Zhang Huijia is a senior partner of Taihang Institute of Lawyers. He holds a master's degree in criminal law from Zhejiang University. He has been engaged in criminal defense for seven years. He is currently the Deputy Secretary-General of the Criminal-Civil Intersection Committee of Hangzhou Lawyers Association. Lawyer Xiao Yonghong is a senior partner of Taihang Institute. He holds a master's degree in law from Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. He has been engaged in criminal defense for six years. He is currently a part-time member of the Party Committee of Xiaoying Street, Shangcheng District, and the old community of Zhejiang University. The criminal defense team mainly handles all kinds of criminal cases and legal aid cases that I undertake. The other members of the team have many years'experience in public security, forensic, economic and investigative departments. The lawyers who handle cases have profound theoretical basis and rich practical experience in criminal defense.            

Our criminal defense team adopts the team operation mode, which has the advantages of professionalism and efficiency. It effectively avoids the problem of insufficient time and energy of lawyers in the traditional criminal defense business. The Taihang Penal Defense Team adheres to the concept of "humanistic defense" and applies the theory and practice of logical criminal defense. Representative Cases:            

• Lawyer Zhang Huijia

In the case of Li Mou's armed robbery, lawyer Zhang Huijia, the defender, put forward the defense opinions and reasons that robbery could not be established, which were adopted by the procuratorate and the court and achieved excellent defense effect；

In the case of Han Mou's rape, the defender insisted on innocent defense in the stage of investigation and public prosecution, and finally obtained a suspended sentence；

In the case of a provocative case of Lv Mou, the defender insisted on innocent defense in the investigation and public prosecution stage of the case, and Lv Mou was released from prison nine months later；

• Lawyer Xiao Yonghong

Xumou robbery and murder case, the first trial was sentenced to death, the defender Xiao Yonghong intervened in the second trial, after many communications and defense, the death sentence was suspended (case No. (2014) No. 93 of the second final word of Zhejiang Penalty); 

Shao's occupation of a post, involving a sum of 4.5 million, after defence, the court determined that the case was misappropriation of funds. The case No. (2014) Dongpengchu No. 1313; 

Yang Mou suspected of compulsory indecency. After the arrest of the procuratorate, the lawyer intervened, and after active defense, obtained a suspended sentence (case No. (2015) Hangyu No. 1616); 

Yi Mou suspected of illegally absorbing public deposits, easily belonged to the owner of an enterprise. After the defense lawyer intervened, he was given a probation sentence (case No. (2016) No. 1621 of ZheJiang 0109)；

 In the case of Li Mou suspected of embezzlement of public funds and abuse of power, he was given a defense effect of the crime of embezzlement of public funds exempted from criminal punishment and the crime of abuse of power (case No. (2017) No. 491 of Yu 1526's first sentence)；

In the case of suspected fraud, Li tried hard to defend at the stage of the procuratorate, and finally the Procuratorate made a non-prosecution to settle the case (case number: prosecution penalty no prosecution (2018) 68). In addition, a number of criminal cases were successfully bailed pending trial in the stage of public security investigation.            

• Lawyer Xu Mingliang

In the case of armed robbery by Li Mou and five others, lawyer Xu Mingliang, the defender, put forward the unique defense opinions and reasons that robbery could not be established, which were accepted by the court；

School student Jiang Mou's intentional injury (lethal) appeal was successfully re-sentenced.
